"Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do."

I love people
and am passionate about hearing about their unique stories. I believe people are stronger than they think and have the capacity to turn crisis into opportunities to grow.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have worked extensively with individuals treating anxiety, depression, trauma and loss as well as couples and families looking to turn strained relationships into happy and healthy ones.

My style is relaxed and non-traditional. My belief is that if you don't feel comfortable with your therapist, you won't trust them enough to open up. I am real and encourage you to be real, leaving the mask of perfection at the door. I understand that there's no one size fits all when it comes to every person's journey and I use a variety of therapeutic methods to customize therapy to meet each individual's needs. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling empowered, more capable and confident with tools and strategies to tackle life's challenges.

I received my master's in social work in 2000 from LSU and have varied professional experience from The Crisis Intervention Center's 24 hr crisis hotline to a school counselor to providing therapy to cancer patients and their families. As a cancer survivor, I know on a personal level how a sudden diagnosis of a life-threatening illness can stop you in your tracks, leaving you scared and feeling helpless. I also believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and that you can find meaning and purpose even in your darkest time.

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband and four children, whether it's playing pool basketball or a family movie night. I am a passionate dog lover and podcast groupie, I love to exercise and any outdoor activity where I can soak up the sun and enjoy nature.

It is my greatest honor as a therapist to walk alongside others and help them find their inner strength to get through the hard times and learn to thrive.
